I went to Cheyenne on my way back west and found this OLDS trumpet in a pawn shop serial number 255576. After a tour with the Arthur Blythe quartet, I was performing on the 5 octave Marimba. Think those olds models have the same valves and bottom covers?
also interesting to find he was actually well regarded in the industry for his designs. Interesting to find out that reynolds was local. where i could find a replacement valve and cover. since there is no longer an fa reynolds, esp in abilene, i have wondered about the horn and mfg and esp. i have an old f.a.reynolds medalist trumpet, marked made in Abilene, tx.
